For Such Belongs...

Dora McFarland reports from the Spruce Hill Vacation Bible School that Maranatha is running. So far, three children have prayed to receive Christ!

Bible School Bible Books

Four books of the Bible are being studied during the 9:00 Bible school hour – Deuteronomy, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, and Matthew, plus selected “problem” texts from the writings of Paul. At 11:00, the books of Mark and James are being expounded. Check details in the yellow Tenth Bible School brochure located in both church lobbies. Chaplain O'Brien

I can hear Chris O'Brien singing now, as he prepares for his new calling to serve as chaplain at the Center for International Seamen and Truckers in Gulfport, Mississippi. Chris begins his new ministry August 1. He has been a great blessing here at Tenth, and we pray for the Lord's blessing on him and Sarah as they relocate to their native state.

Website attack update

Over the weekend, if you went to Tenth's website, you received a message warning of a viral attack.  The site did have some of it's files infected with malicious code, though reports from internet security forums at this time indicate that the code was benign. To be safe, we recommend that anyone who has visited the site in the past week ensure that their anti-virus is up-to-date in accordance with safe-computing best-practices.

The infected files have been repaired, and it is now safe to use the website.  However, it may take several days for Google to rescan the site and remove the warning.

UPDATE July 2 @ 3:15pm:  The warning has now been removed.

New Minister of Outreach

The Session is pleased to announce that Will Spokes has accepted its call to become the Assistant Minister of Outreach. Will is presently the RUM (Reformed University Ministries) campus minister at Duke University, where he has served, I think, for the past seven years. He is married to Meghan, (daughter of Jerry and Bev McFarland). So far, they have four sons (Liam, Elliott, Henry, and Oliver). His start date is slated for August 1. Pray for them as they transition, which includes selling a house.

For this coming Sunday's Tenth Press, I will provide more info. (Right now I am battling the "attack page"; see below).
