William Stuntz

You may, or may not know, that Tenth Elder David Skeel (and Penn Law School professor) has a blog that he co-authored with Harvard Law School professor William Stuntz. His colleague died this past week, March 15. Here is a tribute written in the Harvard Law Journal. Also check out the blog, Less than the Least.

PCRT and Adoption

Don't let PCRT slip pass you this year. It is coming up in just over a month - April 29-May 1. The theological subject is Adoption. I recommend it if only because the doctrine of adoption is one of the under-taught salvation doctrines though rich with practical application. The speakers are always good, but I am particularly excited to see that a former professor of mine, David Wells, will give the opening address, as well as preach Sunday morning. It was Wells' book, Whatever Happened to Evangelical Theology, that caught Dr. Boice's attention and eventually led to the Cambridge Declaration.

I see too that Rick Phillips will give most of the addresses for the pre-seminar event. Rick as written a popular book, The Masculine Mandate, and it looks like the seminar comes from that material. Surely, understanding biblical teaching on gender roles and characteristics is applicable in these times.

Run on "W's"

Here is how next Sunday's bulletin sermon titles will read:

Will You

While You

Wish I knew when and why such things which work together happen the way they do.

Hutch and printers available

Morschhausers have a corner hutch and three serviceable computer printers (the latter all about seven years old, cartridges are still available) that we are looking to sell or give away. The hutch would cost $15 and the printers $5 each. We would be glad to part with any or all of them at no cost if anyone in the Tenth community has need of them. Interested parties may call me at (845) 705-0015.

About the Heart

Yesterday was Paul Tripp's last official day on the staff of Tenth. Again, he is not going anywhere but will remain an active member in the church. Here is the Tenth Press article I wrote regarding his ministry.
