Milo has a brother!


Milo Fenley is pleased and proud to announce (as are his parents Chad and Jamie)the birth of his baby brother, Oliver David, this morning! (Details for women: born at 11:43 am, weighing in at 5 lb. 14 1/2 oz. -- so larger than Milo!) Everyone is doing well.

Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission Looking for a Case and a House Manager

The women and children's division of the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission has one part-time position and one full-time position available at their site in Germantown, Wayne Hall. They are seeking firm and compassionate women to work with homeless mothers and children in their 12 month residential Christian Discipleship program. Deaconesses

Deaconesses will be commissioned this coming Sunday. They will include Jennifer Choi, Sue Jean Choi, Cynthia Gingrich, Amy Potts, Audrey Venutolo, Lynda Weber, and Maxine Young.

Leadership Retreat

The Leadership Retreat begins tonight. Elders, deacons, deaconesses, and pastoral staff will meet tonight and tomorrow morning for orientation and training. Pray for the time to be edifying and team building.

MCO Outreach January 21

Medical Campus Outreach will be hosting a medical and evangelistic outreach on January 21, 12:30–5:30 pm in North Philadelphia. Students, healthcare professionals, and Spanish interpreters are needed. Dinner will be provided after the outreach. For more information contact us MCO here.

Of Bondage to Sin

My men's small group is reading through Rich Phillips' The Masculine Mandate. I applaud Rick for being open about his sinful tendencies. He writes, "(which presupposes that we should not have interests that draw us into sin). For instance, I am a lifelong Boston Red Sox baseball fan..."

Rick, this need not be a lifelong bondage.

January is the month of installations for the church. This coming Sunday deaconesses will be commissioned to serve on the board of deaconesses.
