At GA
I did find Liam eventually. We attended a wonderful evening service. Tim Keller spoke. Then with our wives, we hooked up with the Canavans and McFarlands for ice cream afterwards - a treat after sitting for hours in business meetings.
Am at a computer in a cafe at the convention center trying to type as fast as Aaron Messner on the computer next to me. Not only does he have a beard trimmed like mine, but I notice from the side that he has dabbed a spot of gray in it, no doubt to emulate me.
Now back to the meetings.

GA Tenth Report
Am at General Assembly in Virginia Beach. Feel like a Secret Service agent trying to keep an eye on the president who keeps slipping away. I had him under watch this morning as he scooped up books in the bookstore, but somehow he then slipped away. If he returns to Philadelphia with a deep tan or sunburn, we'll know where he spent most of his time.
Brian Esterly and I had lunch with Phil Ryken and Aaron Messner. Aaron is sporting a nice beard along my style. His four kids are doing well, and Nancy is expecting a fifth.
Spoke with former Tenth staff Kevin Smith and Drew DiNardo. I understand that Jerry McFarland is here. Doug Logan is making a scene...I mean, on the scene. Saw Nick Batzig from a distance. Pat Canavan was in the exhibition hall picking up as many free goodies as he could find.
Hope to find Liam before the day is out.

Fellowship Hall Kitchen
June 19 is the last day the kitchen will be in operation prior to being closed for demolition. Church groups that regularly use the kitchen need to remove all their belongings before June 19. The kitchen will be gutted and the flooring removed. New flooring and equipment will be installed. If the project goes smoothly, the new kitchen should be ready by early fall.
PCA General Assembly
The PCA General Assembly begins today in Virginia Beach, VA. Pastors Goligher and Clark are attending, as well as elders Canavan and Esterly. The GA will be streamed live here.

Westminster Brass Concert--from Tom Elliott
I would be greatly honored if you could come to our 35th-anniversary concert being held Saturday, June 11, at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. You will get to witness the original players since 1980 and to see exactly who we are. The program is considered a concert for children. You probably know children are my passion and if we don't teach them good music, this music will not be around much longer. In my educational experience, I have come to realize adults get more out of childrens concerts than children do.
Please join us at 3 PM at 17th and Spruce in the sanctuary of Tenth Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 11.

Of passports and tricycles
WOW got off to a roaring start last night and your eight year-old may have come home talking about how they need tricycles in Colombia and that she needs to update her passport. Let me explain: This year's WOW project will be directed to helping Hogar la Providencia, the children's home in Colombia, obtain four delivery tricycles so that they can deliver and sell bread. They are starting a bakery to generate income to help support their ministry and to provide vocational training for their teens. WOW kids "earn" a dollar for the project with each passport stamp they obtain. To learn how to get passport stamps, browse here.
