The Prodigal Son

Over thirty years ago, Tim Keller heard Edmund Clowney preach a sermon on the "Prodigal Son." It changed the way Keller understood Christianity and is the inspiration of his soon to be released book, The Prodigal Son: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith. Click here for access to Clowney's sermon.

Vanity of Vanities

"I suppose you are right, Manny. This also is vanity and a striving after wind."

Housing Needed ASAP

Due to severe allergies, Dottie Boyes is in need of an immediate “safe” environment to move to ASAP. She is looking for temporary and/or possible permanent home in center city Philadelphia, preferably in Fairmount/Art Museum which is close enough to get to her doctors, but far enough away from major car exhaust. Requirements: Electric heat and stove, hard wood and/or tile floors, good ventilation. No mold, press board, pets or smoking.

I've received yet another endorsement of Fireproof, the movie. Here is a website about it and other resources for marriages.

Childcare Needed at CLF

Christ Liberation Fellowship needs four folks to help with their children on a monthly basis during their Sunday school hour (11 to noon). They have just implemented a monthly small group time that will take place during the normal Sunday school time and want everyone in their church to participate in this important time of spiritual growth.

They have two classes (ages 6 to 12 and 5 and under) with usually between four and eight children per class. Also it need not be the same folks each month. Their next scheduled small group meeting is for Sunday November 9. If you can help, contact Lance Lewis via email at Charis316@aol.com or the church (vm) 267-350-6456.
