PCRT Report

As typical, the messages of this year's PCRT have provided inspiring and convicting insight of the theme, which this year is Adoption. David Wells opened the conference last night from 1 John 2:28-3:3 on the wondrous love shown to us through God adopting us. This morning, Steve Lawson took us through Galatians 4:1-7 and the implications of moving from the state of slave to adoption as sons of an inheritance. Joel Beeke followed with John 1:12-13, examining how, unlike human adoption, ours include the similarity of being born into the family so that we become like our Father. I am about to go back into the sanctuary and listen to Rick Philips speak on Family Privileges.

You will hear David Wells tomorrow in the morning services when he concludes the series with All in the Family. All of the messages are being recorded and can be ordered through the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

Volunteers for photography and website committee desired

Photographers, if you would like to volunteer to help us have photographs for multiple purposes (print, web, display; events, classes, officers), email Dot with the type of photography you enjoy most—portrait, candid, architectural, city/urban life)—and other particulars. We will then contact you in advance of a need to check your availability.

A committee to redesign Tenth’s website is being formed. If you would like to be considered for this committee and have expertise in marketing, web design, web-related technology, or other such skills, please contact John Voorhis and provide him with your qualifications (could include a résumé or portfolio, if applicable).

New Neighbor

We want to welcome a new church in the neighborhood - liberti church. This is not liberti church Fairmount, nor is it liberti church East. Those are sister PCA churches. This liberti church was started by those churches a couple of years ago at a site on South Street. The church planter is Jared Ayers, and the church is a member of the Reformed Church in America. The new worship site is First Baptist Church on the corner of 17th and Sansom.
