Is anything worth believing in?

That's the question Christian thinker and mathematician John Lennox will address at  the upcoming  Veritas Forum at the University of Pennsylvania. To answer it Lennox will draw from his experiences with atheism and theism in Eastern Europe. He holds a post as Professor of Mathematics in the University of Oxford and  Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science. His most recent book, God's Undertaker - Has Science Buried God, addresses the interface between science, philosophy, and theology.

Tenth elder and Penn professor David Skeel will moderate the evening and there's a promise of light refreshments at the end. The event will be held Wednesday February 22, in Irvine Auditorium on the Penn Campus (3401 Spruce Street).

Critters and Crawlers

That's the proposed activities' theme for the neighborhood play group Tenth hopes to run this spring. Six play dates are in the works, set to run Wednesday mornings every other week. To do it we need volunteers to plan, pray, and help execute. Come to the meeting this Sunday at 5 pm in room C6 (that's in the catacombs) to find out how you can help.

Practical Training Needed for Former Pharmacist

Former pharmacist (30 years) taking medical coding training needs practical training in preparation for the CCS-P exam (AHIMA). She is a quick learner and will work for free. UMC March 3: When God moves into Philly

For many people, God seems distant, hostile, or uninterested. How does one minister to someone who has lost hope? In When God Moves Into Philadelphia, Rev. Suler Acosta and Rev.
