Where Have All the Young Men Gone?

Overcoming Your Fear

One of the biggest fears for many Christians is evangelism. There are many reasons for that fear, but for many people one of the reasons is ignorance. One way to learn to share our faith is by going through a course as a small group. "Six Steps to Talking about Jesus" is a six-week course designed for small groups that covers the "whys" and "hows" of evangelism. I am looking for small groups who are willing to try the course and tell me what they think. If there is any small group (or someone interested in starting a small group) that is interested in trying out this material, please email Robert Polen.

Time to Say Goodbye

I learned today that Bobby and Sara Rojas have moved to Wisconsin. I learned yesterday that Fred and Laura Diaz are about to move to Huntsville, Alabama. Tomorrow, Bill and Charlene Elliott move to Ohio. Is there anyone else to say goodbye to?

Update from Colombia team (via Bruce)

The team from Tenth arrived without a problem. We received all the plastic bins of stuff that we had packed. We are all doing well. Much of the team has been going swimming in the ocean each evening at about 11:00 pm. There are lights at the beach where we are staying. The weather is very hot here, so we have been trying to stay hydrated.

Summer School

So, I'm sent this New York Times article from Sarah Childress about this "prestigious" music school that Sarah Shafer is attending in Marlboro, CT. The article even makes reference to her. But what am I learning about the students? Let me just say that, if in the fall, I find frogs in the sanctuary or furniture on the roof or popcorn filling up someone's office (be alert Paul), then I will know the first suspect.
