The Good Friday message, "Behold, the Lamb of God," is now available in manuscript at this link. If you are attending tonight's service, which presents the Messiah, take time to read it in preparation, as it follows the opening texts that you will hear tonight.
Good Friday
Today is the Good Friday noon service and choral concert, which will complement one another this year. The concert is Handel's Messiah, Parts 2 & 3. For the noon message, I will expound the first half of the text from Part 2, which presents Christ as the Lamb of God.
The noon service begins at 12:00 and should be over before 1:00. The evening concert begins at 7:30, although I encourage you to come early to assure seating. I anticipate an overflow attendance.

Behold, the Lamb of God
This Good Friday for the noon service, I will be preaching "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29). I chose the text because it opens part 2 of Handel's Messiah, which will be presented that evening. Parts 2 and 3 will be presented, which depict the sufferings of Christ, his resurrection, and the power of the resurrection for us. Here is a link to the text for Messiah. I encourage you to read it in preparation for both the noon service and evening concert.
