ASL Class

Monday, January 28, is the last day to register for the free ASL class at Tenth. Class will be on six Sundays, 4:30–6:00 pm, beginning February 3 in Delancey, 1West. Adults and school age children will learn conversation, songs, and Bible vocabulary. Contact Jodi at aslclass@gmail.com.

Ping Pong Challenge

I reported after Christmas that the Rykens had a ping pong table. I think it belongs to Josh. I am a little surprised that I have not received an invitation to come over and play a game. If Josh and his Dad have the confidence to do so, let it be known that my daughter Sarah and I challenge them to a best-out-of-three match.

Children at Prayer

Check out Cora's latest blog entry about the Children's Prayer Network.

Evening Service

The new evening service has gotten off to a good start attendance wise. Attendance typically runs between the mid-200's up to low-300's. We have had over 400 each evening. Interesting how going to an older tradition of worship has resulted in an increase of modern worshippers.

Beware

Looks like a tough Sunday ahead.

Morning sermon: "A Real Tragedy."
Evening sermon: "A Danger to Yourself."

It remains to be seen if these are sermon topics or sermon descriptions!

When you don't know how to pray...

A recent prayer calendar from OMF International offered this helpful advice:

When you are puzzled about how to pray for people you don't know and who are far away, remember that their needs are similar to yours. Pray for Christians with unbelieving spouses, for those struggling to be good parents, for single adults wanting to find a Christian spouse and for those wanting the share the gospel with others.
