Philadelphia Alive Center for Transformation (PACT) is proud to present our new partnership with the Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS). Starting on Friday, February 1, 2008, PACT officials will facilitate the following weekend intensive courses:
Engaging the Culture through Effective Prison Ministry
Class Dates: February 1 and 2; February 22 and 23
Class Times: Fridays 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A process of how the body of Christ can effectively engage our culture through prison ministry; this includes a brief study on the criminal and restorative justice process, an in-depth look at prison structure and sub-culture policies and procedures, responding to the challenges and opportunities in working with wardens and chaplains and how prison ministry impacts all other ministries.
Engaging the Culture through Effective Prison Ministry Aftercare (March 7 & 8; April 4 & 5)
Class Dates: March 7 and 8; April 4 and 5
Class Times: Fridays 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A comprehensive study on prison ministry reentry and aftercare process and how to develop strategic skills for individuals and church-based groups on methods of engaging and ministering to inmates and ex-offenders, their families, their communities, and others with an effort to create positive prison-release experiences.
These courses are open to CUTS students and to the general public. Non-CUTS students must pay a $75.00 registration fee. The PACT classes will take place at Deliverance Evangelical Church located at 2001 West Lehigh Avenue • Philadelphia, PA 19132 • 215-226-7600
