Truly Thankful

This Thanksgiving, we received over 75 requests for hosts from international students. Several students ended up accepting friends' invitations and dropped out of the hosting program. But still, we matched 58 students and actually ended up turning away several hosts.

God provided abundantly, for which I am truly thankful!

This is an update from African Enterprise in Ghana. Please pray for these women as they get equipped for new vocations and begin new lives.

Art Teacher Needed

A local Christian Homeschool Co-op (C.H.E.E.R. Christian Homeschool Educators Enrichment Resource) is looking for an Art Teacher for their second semester (Jan-May, 2012). The co-op meets on Fridays from 8:45-12:15 at Crossroads Presbyterian Church (PCA) near 69th and Chestnut St. in Upper Darby. The job would include teaching four 45 minute art classes to students ranging in age from 5 to 17, divided into class groups by age. A small per class salary is provided. For more information on the position, its requirements and the salary for teaching please contact Jackie Serafim at Crossroads Church. For more information on the co-op in general contact Tenth member Sylvia Duggan.

Second-hand Boots

Do you or someone you know have a pair of men’s boots, size 12 ½? They are needed to give to a former Philadelphia man who is now in rehab and growing in the Lord. If you can help, please contact Susi.

Dinner Registration

I just registered online for the congregational dinner, December 2. Very simple. Go to www.tenth.org. Click the link that reads "Please sign for dinner and child care by November 30." That takes you to the ACS sign-in page. Sign in. You will then be taken to the page to register. The steps are simple. You will have opportunity to waive the cost of the meal, if needed. The only thing I got a little confused on was a page asking about amount of payment. I just hit "Next" and the next page noted that I would pay at the door.

If you have yet to get set-up so as to use the online directory, which then gives you access to register for events on online and to keep tab on your giving history, simply email Christy Corbett and she will get you set-up.
