Neighborhood Outreach West Philly Style

Next Saturday, April 21, from 12:30-5:30 pm, healthcare students and professionals will venture out in small groups. During the afternoon, they will walk door to door in West Philadelphia, offering diabetes and blood pressure screenings as well as prayer and spiritual follow-up.

For more information and to register, visit MCO's website here: http://mcophilly.org/outreach/philadelphia/.
Need help with the fine print? Our friends at Proclamation are inviting us to join them for a personal evangelism training session led by Rico Tice, the Brit behind Christianity Explored. The event is Sunday, April 22, from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm and is followed immediately by dinner and then their 6:30 pm evening worship service. Rico's message at the evening service is titled "Mark's Gospel in Four Words" and will lay out the basic outline thrust of the Christianity Explored course. If you want to go, you must RSVP by April 18. You can do that by email.

Proclamation Presbyterian Church is located at 278 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue in, of all places, Bryn Mawr.

Report on Rev. Hyun

Carroll Wynne writes:  I was just in touch with Julie Kim who followed up on Rev. Hyun after his heart attack on Sunday.  He was taken to Jefferson where doctors said he was at the ER in time. They put in a stint. He may be released tomorrow. His sons/daughter – two of whom are physicians – were able to be with him on Monday.

Extra thanks to John, Jim, the sextons and three physicians/members who stepped right in to help!

Exploring Christianity Explored?

If you attended a parish Vision Night, you no doubt heard Liam talk about Christianity Explored, a seven week course that allows one to check out Christianity's basic claims. Liam would love to see us offer it on a regular basis both at the main building and in our neighborhoods and work places. If you're wondering what it's all about, consider attending Chris O'Brien's pilot of it during the 9 am hour, starting this Sunday in the third floor rear room of 315 South 17th Street. And if you are attending because you have an interest in helping Tenth host more of these, please send an email.
