Forays are held at the Spruce Hill Christian School auditorium at the corner of 42nd & Baltimore in University City, Philadelphia. Light nourishment and beverages provided.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS
Chris Simmons is Executive Director of The Gospel & Culture Project. He holds an MDiv from Westminster Seminary, an M.A. in cinema studies from NYU and a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago. Before joining the GCP, he created and directed the program in film and digital media at Messiah College, Grantham, PA.
Diane Langberg is a practicing psychologist, speaker and author, who has worked with trauma survivors and clergy for more than thirty years. She is director of Diane Langberg & Associates in suburban Philadelphia. She also has spent much of the last year working with genocide survivors in Rwanda.
David Powlison is an author and speaker who has counseled for more than thirty years. He is on faculty at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation in Glenside and is the editor of the Journal of Biblical Counseling. He holds an MDiv from Westminster Seminary and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
The Gospel & Culture Project is a Philadelphia-based, Christian non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and equip believers to apply their faith to key questions in contemporary culture.
Besides Foray, the GCP’s initiatives include Word Meets World, an in-church training seminar that equips believers to be everyday theologians; gospelandculture.org, our online community which will go-live in October; and The School for Cultural Engagement, a graduate school of theology geared to meet the needs of laypeople and those entering professional ministry.
Dr. William Edgar, GCP director and Westminster Seminary Professor of Apologetics, built the GCP on the foundation of redemptive-historical theology and commitment to cultural engagement practiced by Harvie Conn, Abraham Kuyper and Francis Schaeffer, among others.
