Think 'Kingdomly' About Your Neighborhood

This Friday at 7 pm, Tenth Women will host the first of a three-part series on Living as Kingdom-minded Disciples. Our speaker will be Barb Weidman, who has been serving with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Philadelphia for nearly 20 years. Barb will speak on Kingdom-minded discipleship in your neighborhood.

Barb's heart for Kingdom ministry in neighborhoods led to a recent change of focus in her work, as she has joined a team pioneering a new ministry at Temple University. The vision for this new work is to reach students not being reached by other existing ministries and to involve students in the life and ministry of the adjacent neighborhood. Barb sees this aspect of the ministry as critical to a whole Gospel discipleship for believing students and as a relevant onramp to the Gospel for unbelieving students who are concerned about poverty and injustice.
