I thought it was GREAT. I have to admit that I came in a bit jaded and feeling like the material I had seen was so broad that it didn't really seem like anything different to hang on to. The meeting really helped me see how it played out a bit more. The highlights were:
1) seeing so many people show up for the meeting. There is just something about the fellowship of believers and all of us bieng in the same place and looking to God for direction that is so invigorating.
2) The movie. By the time it was over I was ready to be handed pompoms and start a cheer for our team and go out and win the game. It also humbled me at the same time, I know at some level almost all of the people who were interviewed but who knew that I worshiped with such thoughtful, awe filled and godly people!!!! They made me want to be the full me God made me to be.
3) Phil's comments about his commitment to Tenth and to Philadelphia in the face of an offer to pastor a chruch in his hometown blew me away!!! As a transplanted midwesterner and a preachers kid I could fully relate to what this meant. It was also great to have him share this as it put choices we might be making/asked to make that are personal to us in a context. I don't feel that the chruch can't understand the pulls and dilemas that I may face in working out my role in the vision.
