Fred Garibotti

Fred Garibotti, long-time elder of Tenth, passed away this morning at the age of 92. A memorial service will be held at Tenth, most likely the 27th or 28th, but is still to be determined. We give thanks to God for this servant of the Lord.

Wow, memories of Fred Garibotti. How about serving communion? Bow ties? A ready smile? Counsel full of grace?

I remember Fred's amazing ability to compile Minutes (written at what seemed to be almost a frantic pace during the Friday night Congregational meetings) into a work of art which he would then read back with great style (and often a lot of humor!) for our approval.
His challenge to us, to serve the Lord diligently was clearly seen in the life he lived before us.
As Diana mentioned, I can still recall his voice reading the scriptures during communion!
Some would remember him as a short man... I remember him as a great saint!
