ESL Tutor Training
Have you ever wanted to reach out to people of other cultures? Teaching English as a Second Language is a great way to do so. There will be an ESL Teacher Training Seminar sponsored by the Northeast Community Church ESL Program on Friday, September 9, 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm through Saturday, September 10, 8:45 am - 5:30 pm at New Life PresbyterianChurch of Dresher, 2015 S. Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.

The cost is $50 per person before August 14 and $60 per person after August 14. Cost includes full training manual, snacks, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. The program will be presented by a trainer from Mission to North America. Please make checks payable to: Northeast Community Church and send to NCC, 3300 Tyson Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149. Please write "ESL training" on Memo line.
Northeast Community Church is a church planting project in Northeast Philadelphia supported by Tenth Presbyterian Church. We are reaching many immigrants groups in our community. We are looking for volunteers to help:
(1) Teach Mandarin to Children – Sunday 9:45am - 10:45am starting in September 2011 – We are reaching Chinese immigrant families and our Chinese School has over 20 children but we need teachers.
(2) Teach English to Adults – Saturday 9:30am – 11:00am starting in September 2011 – We have about 100 students in our ESL program 3 days during the week. We need help on Saturday morning.
