Friend for Chinese-speaking father-in-law
My father-in-law is 76 years old and speaks Vietnamese and Teochew Chinese. He is not a Christian, but I have been praying for him. I live in Maryland, so it is hard to check in with his daily needs. He lives in the Olney section of Philadelphia, across from Olney High School. He does speak English but would probably prefer speaking in Teochew, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
He likes to cook, can write Chinese very well, and he has always been quite independent. I was wondering if there was any way we could find someone in your church to be a friend to him-maybe talk about life in Vietnam, take shopping occasionally, etc. I would sincerely appreciate your help with this. I would ask for your prayers for him.
