Dot Boersma and Glen Umberger will give a free tour of Tenth this afternoon at 2:00 pm. Topics will include information about the architects and their other existing works; interior and exterior architectural style, history, and projects over time for the main building and 1701 Delancey; and Reformed faith and worship as expressed in church architecture. Meet in the Delancey Lobby.
Another free opportunity related to John McArthur is coming up:
Thursday, May 20, 5:30 PM - Weeknights at the Wagner Free Institute of Science (did you know Philadelphia has this wonderful old science museum in addition to the Franklin Institute?). The Wagner will present a free lecture by Dr. Michael Lewis on John McArthur, who was also the first deacon at this church when it was a new daughter church of the original Tenth.
