Sunday's Meeting

At Sunday's congregational meeting, the congregation approved to accept Phil's resignation and approved the proposed membership for the Pastoral Selection Committee.

I should note that opportunity was given for an informal vote on the question "Do you want to dissolve the relationship with Philip Ryken. I must say that the sound of voices declaring "No" was much louder than the sound of approving the resignation.

The Pastoral Selection Committee will hold its first meeting next Wednesday, May 5. Be in prayer for the committee as the work begins. Here is the call of the Session to the congregation:

"The Session calls the congregation to a season of patient, unified prayer during this time of transition. Specifically, please pray for the family of Dr. Ryken as they move to Wheaton and undertake a new beginning; pray for the work of the Pastoral Selection Committee and the leadership of the Session; and pray for God’s ongoing safekeeping and blessing on Tenth Presbyterian Church."
