Volunteers Needed for Fugitive Safe Surrender Program

Volunteers are needed to help with the Fugitive Safe Surrender Program, held at True Gospel Tabernacle Church (1606 Mifflin Street in South Philly) on Sept. 17-20, 2008. The goal of this program is to give a second chance to those who have committed a non-violent crime and are ready to take responsibility for what they have done. It will allow them to surrender and speak with an attorney and a judge at the church. To make this possible, however, help is needed in the following areas—

• Volunteer Registration
• Hospitality/Greeters
• Floaters
• Surrenderee Escorts
• Parking/Premises Security
• Food Service
• Housekeeping
• Maintenance
  
• Daycare Workers
• Media Support
• Transportation
