A fun time was had by all at the church picnic on Saturday, sponsored by City Outreach. In the Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, the championship game was played by Total Depravity (sponsored by the pastoral staff) and Beat Ryken ( sponsored by City College and Career). Beat Ryken lived up to its name and schooled Total Depravity 10 to 3. In a post-game interview, Ryken said that his studies into the meaninglessness of such activities took away the usual sense of urgency by which he normally played and led his team. More than once, as he ran towards the floating frisbee, he could not rid himself of the thought that this is mad folly.
