Were you at the party last night?

This was the question heard on the subway today. It was a great community party on Christian Street last night. There was a program for the children with fun skits (a slow-but-gets-there detective chasing a crafty thief who turned out to be the judge's daughter...and whose place the magistrate took in going to jail) and wacky songs (chick-a-boom) -- cookout for 400! -- face paints for everyone of all ages -- a concert by the Westminster Brass -- fire-juggling -- neighbors and new friends. God threw the whole celebration and was there the whole time.

Of course, some of you in our spiritual community were there because you joined us in prayer! In your heart celebrate with joy.
