From Sylvia D. re Odunde

This Sunday, June 8, the annual Odunde Festival will take place on South Street from 23rd Street to the Schuylkill River. While the festival does not start till noon, we have always found that the morning preparations make getting to church along South Street hard and full of detours. I would suggest that any one coming from West of the Schuylkill or who normally uses the South Street Exit from theSchuylkill Expressway to get to church take an alternate route and avoid using South Street or coming up via Grey's Ferry, which will also put you in the middle of the festival. Also, avoid coming home from church via Lombard and the South Street Bridge Exit, as the "river walk" part of the festival, which involves the South Street Bridge is scheduled for 12 to 1:30 that day.
