Be Careful What You Read
I think I need to limit what I read. The Capital Campaign devotional has encouraged me to honor the King with my talents (more than I am). Paul Tripps' A Quest for More has convicted me to lay down my selfish-king crown in order to serve the King who has been crowned Lord of all (more than I am). And Sinclair Ferguson's Living Out the Sermon on the Mount has pointed out to me that if I would mourn for my sins and seek Christ's righteous, this will lead me to show greater mercy to those in need (even more than I am). When God wants to get my attention, he doesn't just hint at it. My reading habits are effecting how I live my life!
