Would most of the counseling be covered by insurance? I guess I'm confused on how this "ministry" costs $110 per session. I understand the man needs to earn a living but I'm concerned about those who need the counseling being able to afford such a high cost. Is there a plan for the church to help lower the costs?

This was my concern, as well.
I can tell you that NONE of the fees will be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Insurance companies will only reimburse services performed by a psychiatrist, licensed clinical psychologist or licensed clinical social worker.
So, there would be no reimbursement in this case.
I was very encouraged when reading the bulletin on Sunday but became quite discouraged upon learning the amount of the fee.
This important service will be of no use to those who need it if it remains unaffordable.

I do believe that funds were made available via the diaconate's benevolence fund in the past for folks with a need for counseling who could not afford to otherwise.

I do think the Tenth Press article was not really clear on the point of individuals paying for counseling services themselves.
