Heaven in a Nightclub?

That's the question posed this Friday night at 7:30 at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr. The concert event entitled, "Heaven in a Nightclub? The Spiritual Roots of Jazz," will feature theologian and pianist Bill Edgar, vocalist Ruth Naomi Floyd, and musician Randy Pendleton. The trio will trace the Christian influence on Jazz, exploring a number of genres such as ragtime, blues, spirituals, and funeral bands and paying specific attention to the twin themes of suffering and hope.
