John Canavan wants your prayers. He sent out this eblast to the church on Wednesday.
Dear Tenth Presbyterian Church,
Did you read the Tenth Press
article last Sunday? If you did, I'm sure you will remember my request
for prayer. Many of you who went to college in the Philadelphia area
will understand the complexities of trying to reach just one campus with
the gospel. Tenth College Fellowship (TCF) is trying to reach many
colleges throughout the Philadelphia area. So, even if you did not read
the Tenth Press article, you will understand my request for prayer.
First, I would like you to
consider praying for the hearts and minds of college students throughout
the Philadelphia area and beyond. Pray for those Christian high school
students transitioning to college, particularly our own Maranatha
alumni. Also pray for the many students who will encounter the gospel
for the first or perhaps the fiftieth time. Finally, pray for the work
and ministry of TCF as we minister the gospel to many college students
this year.
I have listed most of the
colleges in your parish below. Would you pray for the students and
faculty of those colleges in your neighborhood? If you went to college
in Philadelphia, would you also pray for the students and faculty of
your alma mater? Finally, pray for our Maranatha alumni as they begin or
continue their college studies. Check for prayer updates on Marion
Clark's blog as the fall semester begins.
Sincerely,
John Patrick Canavan
Director of Tenth College Fellowship
