The ideal candidate will:
  • be passionate about Jesus Christ and living a Christian lifestyle as demonstrated by regular church attendance and a community of believers for accountability, personal and spiritual growth.
  • be passionate about all things Pro-life and have prior experience with pro-life work as a volunteer.
  • have experience that demonstrates a love for ministering to pregnant women and their families.
  • be energetic, organized, friendly, and computer literate.
  • be able to work independently, but also able to cheerfully incorporate guidance, accountability and feedback.
  • have successfully completed at least 3 years of college level work in, B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
 Expectations:
  • 40 hours weekly
  • Current criminal background check and Abuse Clearance

Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant is under the general direction of the Executive Director regarding general administrative tasks including support for fundraising, board of directors and volunteers. Responsible for daily processing of mail, bi-weekly bank deposits, processing thank you letters and ordering general office supplies. Responsible for maintaining database.
The Administrative Assistant is under the general direction of the Program Services Director regarding all client-related responsibilities including client-related volunteers (Helpliners and others) and provides administrative support for client-related tasks. 
The  Administrative Assistant represents Alpha to the public with a courteous and welcoming phone demeanor. 
§         Responsible for patient, warm reception of clients, volunteers, vendors, and visitors.
§         Responsible for scheduling and confirming all client appointments.
§         Responsible for opening the office daily. 
§         Responsible for keeping reception desk and waiting room clean and tidy.
Must be flexible, multi-task oriented, and willing to perform additional clerical tasks as assigned. Like all positions at Alpha, must be willing to serve in any capacity that will enable the office to function properly. This position requires the ability and desire to work as part of a team.
