Derek Thomas

"Denisty"? How do you get "denisty" from "dynasty"?

If our Scottish minister is still adjusting to speaking American, hopefully the Welsh minister preaching this coming Sunday has gotten the American language down. After all, he has been in America much longer. And he has been preaching in the south, where the American accent is pure.

Derek Thomas is preaching both in the morning and the evening. In the morning he will be preaching from Mark 14:32-42, "Jesus Trembling in Gethsemane." In the evening, he will preach from Psalm 130, "De Profundis." It is the Latin expression of the opening words in the psalm, "Out of the depths."

If you wish to get a taste of his preaching (and accent), a number of his sermons are posted on sermonaudio.

One last note is that he is a man of stylish fashion, as this picture with Phil Ryken will show.
