Insomnia studies at Penn

Do you have difficulty falling or staying asleep? The University of Pennsylvania has a clinic and research program devoted to insomnia.

Information about the clinic is available.

Information about the research program is available.

One way to access assessment and/or treatment for insomnia is to volunteer to participate in Penn's ongoing studies about the causes and consequences of untreated insomnia and the effectiveness of current and new treatments. When you volunteer, and if you are eligible for research, your participation may benefit you in a number of ways including, at no cost, one or more of the following:
  • A sleep disorders evaluation
  • An overnight sleep study
  • Treatment with standard or novel interventions
  • Long-term followup assessments

If volunteering for research sounds of interest, please visit the website or call the study coordinator Ms. Barilla at 215.746.4384.
