3 Devotional Thoughts...
Last week in our full staff meeting, Marion shared his reflections on Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson during our opening devotions.
Mortenson grew up in Tanzania, where his father, Dempsey, worked as a medical doctor and helped local found the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Dempsey predicted that within 10 years the medical center (hospital and school) would be staffed by all African doctors. He was mindful that the work of healing people and training physicians belonged to the Tanzanians and that he was simply an instrument in getting the process started.
Marion reminded us that an important, but often overlooked, aspect of our ministry as Tenth staff is facilitating and supporting the ministry that our members carry out, both locally and around the world. Good words to mull over when the copier breaks down yet again!

What a happy bunch in that photo!
I had the staff riveted with attention.
