Disability Panel Discussion

The Body of Christ and Disability workshop will include a panel discussion focusing on issues individuals with disabilities and their families face and the response of the church. Panelists will include:

Sharon, a nurse who helps clients with disabilities to develop Life Care Plans. Sharon has Multiple Sclerosis and serves on her church's Special Needs Committee.

Roger and Patty, the parents of three children. Their youngest son died shortly after birth from medical complications. Their oldest son has a variety of physical disabilities and medical conditions. Roger and Patty lead the Covenant Care Group ministry at their church for families in need of crisis care.

Jerry and Joan Borton, serving with Joni and Friends at the Philadelphia office. Joan and Jerry provide consultative services to churches. Jerry has Cerebral Palsy.

Tom, the parent of a teenage son with autism. He is also an ordained minister and a licensed professional counselor.
