Due Praise

(Pat Canavan sent this email out this morning. I thought it appropriate to post.)

I want to praise the good work of the following staff members who supported PCRT behind the scenes: Anne Davies, Dora McFarland, Carl Staico and the sextons, and Nancy Hala. This event, involving 1200 guests throughout the weekend and about 2200 worshippers at our 3 Sunday services, simply could not have happened without them.

Their work was a model of service excellence: They helpfully answered questions with the guest’s interest in mind; they responded to, and in many cases proactively anticipated, various needs that often exceeded expectations; they made it easy to do business with Tenth by keeping in mind what was best, safe, and accommodating for our guests.

In addition, the physical environment of Tenth did not get in the way of the event, but actually enhanced it thanks to much preparatory work by the sextons during the week. This was not an easy accomplishment given the age of our building and the number of people continually in it throughout the weekend. One small, but important example here: there was not one complaint regarding bathroom supplies, function, or cleanliness the entire weekend.

The word was made manifest, in part, because people were not distracted by the more mundane things, and we owe these staff members our gratitude for the professional and caring way they went about their work. You all did a super job.
