The Space Age

While in Houston we visited the NASA space center. I recommend it when you are visiting the area. Anyhow, did you know that of the space shuttle crew (you do know there is a crew in space right now?) no one is under the age of 43 and several are in their fifties. I guess you young'uns in your 20s and 30s will have to be patient to attain the level we mature adults have to handle the rigors of space.

Which reminds me. Do you know who on the pastoral staff are turning 50 and 40 in October?

Turning 50 I can remember but 40, that's another story! We signed up for Social Security this week and I am still getting over the shock!!

I'm not too sure about that one. But I am friends with a couple of men on the staff who qualify to be space cadets.

Has to be Carroll Wynne and Phil Ryken, respectively.

I had others in mind. But C. Wynne? Sure, he qualifies.

No, not Carroll.

Alright Marion...I know you and Carroll have already hit that "50" milestone...Phil's is in Sept., but I believe he will only be 39. I'd guess Bruce will turn 50 and if you're including office staff...could Christiana F. possibly be hitting 40 this Oct.? Everyone hides their ages so well...unless you have "prematurely" white hair then they think you're older, sigh...

Christiana F. is definitely not going to be 40. I know for sure :) She is younger than I - and I am not 40.

And Dori is right - Phil's b-day is in Sept. And I agree - I think he's only going to be 39.

Bruce is turning 50 on October 3. I thought Phil was the same age as James Stoudt (who turns 40 this month), but the church directory confirms that his birthday is in September, so I'm puzzled on the 40-year-old.

Bruce is turning 50 on October 3 and Phil is turning 40, but Marion incorrectly had it in October, rather than September 29th.

Oops. Guess I should have checked on the month of Phil's birthday.
Bruce - 50 (10/3)
Phil - 40 (9/29)
Chris Seah - 30 (9/29)
