Vision Groups
Taken from a letter sent to Bible study leaders by Phil and Cora:
We plan to make October a month of emphasis on our new vision for Tenth Church. Sermons that month will focus on the spiritual principles that drive our mission as a church. We are asking all of our small group Bible studies to put aside their current studies in order to do a series of specially prepared studies that are based on the sermons and designed to help us apply them to our ministry as a church.
Since we want the whole congregation to be unified in our vision, it is very important that all our small groups participate in this study. These studies have already been beta tested this summer in two of our small groups, and we have taken very seriously the input that these groups have given us about the studies we have prepared.
On Tuesday (tonight!) at 6:30 p.m. we will have a meeting for all ministry leaders, including all of our small group Bible study leaders...to get an overview of the material we will be presenting and your part in studying it...a makeup session will be held 9/17 at 1:00 in the Catacombs. Lunch provided.
On September 24, we will distribute these studies in the form of a booklet at the end of the morning worship servies. We will have sign-up sessions for small groups that day as well as on October 1 & 6...We want as many people as possible to be involved in one of these vision groups.
