Homebound Worship
Cora sent this news of a shut-in able to worship with Tenth though homebound.
___ told us how she “goes to church” each Sunday. First of all she downloads the bulletin from the Tenth website on Saturday and reads the Scripture passages, then she looks up the hymns in the hymnbook. When the webcast starts on Sunday morning, she considers that she is “in church.” She sings the hymns with us, prays with us, and soaks up the teaching in the sermon. The webcast is a vital link to the church and to worshipping with God’s people in this place. She also makes very good use of the website, sharing “Windows on the World” with her internet friends, and sending on tapes that she has already listened to.

Praise God. It is also useful when you or a family member are ill. I know it has made my having to stay home with sick kids much less of a burden, we just make a cocoon by the computer for the sickie and I minister to them while worshiping with all of you.
The broadcasting of the christmas eve services also meant that two grandma's in AZ and MN got to listen to their grand daughter sing with schola cantorum. Thank you for allowing us to share christmas and worship with our family in this way.
Thanks for having the webcast. I listen often when I am not able to physically attend due to my work schedule. Although it is not the same as being there in person, I do enjoy the opportunity to worship and hear the teaching. I especially enjoyed the Christmas eve service having arrrived home just in time to hear the start of the service and knowing that I could not drive from work to Tenth in time and then have to find a parking space not to mention a standing room in the overcrowded sanctuary. Thanks to you IT guys.
Tobias and I, as well as the other webcasting members are always encouraged to that the webcast / podcasting ministry is a blessing. Thank you all for sharing how you've used it.
BTW - the Christmas Eve Service is posted, see the Music Webcast Page.
Also, video is coming soon - we are planning to go live for the Eastern Service. There will be a Low Quality and High Quality option, so that the dial-up users can still access it, and the broadband users will have higher quality sound!
We are always looking for people who know their way around sound editing / .mp3 software to convert and upload the services, so if you can help please contact us!
