Letter for Bible School Parents

Dear Bible School Parents,

Since last September, it has been my privilege to serve as website manager for the new Tenth website (due to launch the beginning of the summer!). One of the improvements we hope to make with the new Tenth website is to post professional quality, current photographs of the life and worship of our church body. We feel this will greatly enhance the look and appeal of our site and better represent our church to the world.

In a few weeks on March 17, a professional photographer (David Clark Moore) and second shooter (Gary Houk) will pop in to certain Children’s Bible School classes to capture candid images of the students and their teachers during lessons. These photos may be used on the new website or in future print materials.

We understand that your child’s privacy and safety is very important to you. It’s important to us, too, which is why both photographers have undergone a Child Abuse History Clearance background check.

We need your permission to post face-forward pictures of your child on the new website or in print materials. Attached to this letter, you’ll find a Model Release Form that delineates a parent/guardian’s consent for us to use, on the web or in print materials, any face-forward photos taken of your child on March 17. We hope that you will be willing to give your consent. However, if you choose not to sign the consent form, we completely understand and will honor your wishes.

Moving forward, please carefully read the attached Model Release Form. If you are willing to give your consent for face-forward pictures of your child to be used on the new Tenth website and in print materials, please fill out and sign the form and have your child return it to his/her Bible School teacher by Sunday, March 17. Alternatively, you may place the document in my mailbox at the church, or scan and email it to me at sboghosian@tenth.org.

If you decide not to give your consent, please do not feel bad! There is really nothing for you to do. Simply don’t return the signed consent form to me or your child’s Bible School teacher, and we will honor your wishes not to post face-forward pictures of your child on the website or in print materials.

We sincerely hope this photo shoot will not discourage you from bringing your child to Bible School on March 17 and want to reassure you that your wishes will be honored should you choose not to sign a consent form. If you have any questions about the Sunday photo shoot or photography for the new website, please visit our Website Photography FAQs page:  www.photography.tenth.org. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, sboghosian@tenth.org.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

In Christ,

Sarah Boghosian, Website Manager
sboghosian@tenth.org
