Dr. C. Everett Koop, 1916-2013
We just received news that Dr. C. Everett Koop died this
afternoon. How we thank the Lord for his long faithful life serving
many children and their families as a pediatric surgeon at CHOP; his service to our country as Surgeon General; and his service here at Tenth Presbyterian Church as a ruling elder. He will be deeply missed.
The family will have a quiet, private funeral service. Tenth Church will have a memorial service in the near future. Please pray for the Lord's comfort for Dr. Koop's wife, Cora, and for his children and their families.

What a blessing Dr. Koop has been to us for so many years. He operated on my brother long ago as one of many. My prayers are with Cora and his family.
