Pressures on Turkish believers

In his sermon on November 4, Dr. Sookhdeo elucidated the subtle shift in international discussions from "religious liberty"--which recognizes the right of people to change religion--to "freedom of worship" which merely allows people the right to worship but not convert. A story published yesterday by Compass Direct illustrates how this is already effecting our brothers and sisters in Turkey. The article details the Turkish government's refusal to allow two recent converts, both members of the All Saints Moda Church in Istanbul, to officially change their religious identities. This is a reminder  both to pray for our brothers and sisters, and to petition officials to call for the recognition not just of freedom of worship, but of relgious liberty.
