Preparing for Isaac

This email from Chris O'Brien, who just moved down to Gulfport, MS to minister to seamen, is a good reminder to be praying for those in the gulf area waiting for Hurricane Isaac to strike.

As you know Isaac is heading for us in Gulfport, MS. Sarah and Katie (and our doggies - Lyllye &Aiden) are headed to Jackson, MS, three hours North of the coast in just a few hours. I will stay in Gulfport for the time being unless there is a need to leave.  I can possibly do things that may be helpful to families in the First Presbyterian Church.  The Port of Gulfport is preparing for this storm.  I do not believe any other ships will be coming for the next several days, the last one left this morning.
Do pray for Sarah as she drives to Jackson.  Her health is pretty good right now, and the drive should not be to bad.  We hope the roads will not be too congested.
Do pray for us, and the whole coast.  God demonstrates His sovereign power through such storms, although we are slow to acknowledged it.  May He be merciful to us.
Chris
