Eliciting prayer
Earlier this week Tenth's Session sent the following eblast to the congregation. We invite our friends to join us in prayer:
Dear members, regular attenders and friends of Tenth,
Dear members, regular attenders and friends of Tenth,
Over
the past month a committee of Session has
been researching the possible purchase of the 1716 Spruce Street
property, which is offered for sale. Last Tuesday evening, the elders
directed the committee to continue discussions with the Alliance of
Confessing Evangelicals board and approved an offer for the property.
If the offer were accepted, it would be contingent upon the approval of the congregation and a plan to finance the purchase. The proximity of the building to Tenth, as well as Tenth's need for additional space, makes the property attractive. At the same time, the elders are proceeding cautiously and prudently.

In
the light of these events, the Session is requesting the congregation
to make this a matter of serious prayer over the next weeks. As events
begin to unfold, the elders will inform the congregation of these
discussions and be better able to provide details of the purchase, if
this is what the Lord desires.
"For this God is our God . . . he will be our guide to the end." Psalm 48:14
