Conference for Preachers and Bible Teachers
Grace Church of Greenwich would like to invite you to:
What: Conference for Preachers and Bible teachers on the life of David–David: God's Flawed but Faithful Servant
When: Wednesday, October 19th, 9 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
Where: The Woman's Club of Greenwich, 89 Maple Avenue, Greenwich, CT
Cost: $15 before September 26th ($25 thereafter) Lunch is included
Speaker: Dr. Bob Fyall, an experienced pastor, preacher and Old Testament scholar. He ministered in a parish church in Scotland, and then pastored a large student church in Durham, where he also taught Old Testament at Cranmer Hall, a training college for Anglican clergy. His passion is scholarship that genuinely feeds and equips the bible teacher. Currently he trains pastors at Cornhill Training Institute. He is the author of several commentaries on Old Testament books including Teaching Amos; Daniel, Tale of Two Cities; and How Does God Treat His Friends?, Teaching from the Book of Job.
Why? We have a strong conviction at Grace Church that preaching is central to Pastoral Ministry. Our Church motto is "When the Bible is taught, God's voice is heard." However, opportunities to receive encouragement and ongoing training in Biblical preaching can be scarce.
For more information or to sign up e-mail Mary Beth PMBHar@aol.com (or call Tim Foster 203.502.3694).
