Honoring Jonathan Olsen

This coming Sunday, July 31, I will be leading a commission of elders to visit Grace and Peace Church. The purpose is to honor Jonathan Olsen for his years of service at Tenth Church. Jonathan came on full-time at Tenth in June of 2001, after having served part-time. He led the college ministry of Tenth College Union that eventual morphed into City College and Career. After our restructuring of commissions into Kingdom Discipleship, City Outreach, and Global Outreach, he became the Minister of City Outreach. Indeed, he got so much into city outreach that he started a new city church! And so, with joy, we'll walk down to our daughter church and see if we can find him in the crowded room used for a sanctuary. I'd consider digging through the roof, but there are two floors above them.
