Makoto Fujimura sent us word about a project coming to Philadelphia:

But today, I wanted to let you know of a very intriguing project that I am a big fan of. Gene Schmidt is an artist contributor to IAM (International Arts Movement).  He has done a project called "Measuring Manhattan" (which IAM supported) and there's a documentary that captures the process of him literally measuring Manhattan horizontally and vertically with yard sticks!  Crazy...yes, but when you see the documentary video (which is going around indie film circuits right now) you will see that behind every measurement is his prayer for the city.  Project provides one the most moving footage you will see of NYC.

Gene is now embarking on "Lovetown PA" do be performed and exhibited in Philadelphia this spring and summer.Click here to view the project.
