Three Cups of Tea with a Friend...

Where might reading Three Cups of Tea lead you? Well, perhaps to a South Asian restaurant to meet new friends...

"I’m having Afghan tea with Sona at her restaurant (1526 Sansom). Sona knew of Three Cups of Tea but hasn’t read it. However, her 10-year-old daughter joined us after school—she has read the children’s version and loved it. I loved the book, too.

"I kept thinking about Greg Mortenson’s Baptist missionary upbringing. What if he were a Christian—how might God use him further? What can Christians learn from Mortenson’s approach as we work and interact in other countries or with other cultures within our own? What can we learn from him about the exercise of foreign affairs? This is an unforgettable book." --Dot Boersma

How could we all affect the world if we were wide awake instead of half asleep???

That is the question raised by the adventures in Three Cups of Tea.

As Dot has found, we don't have to travel very far to find people from foreign lands. May the Savior's love flow through us!
