Presbytery News
This past Saturday, the Philadelphia Presbytery met. The following men were examined and accepted into their respective positions.
As Candidates for the Ministry:
Juan Martinez, from Cresheim Valley Church
Shibu Oomenn, from Crossroads Church
John Koshy, from New Life Church Philadelphia
(Shibu and John are both natives of India. Juan is a native of Mexico.)
Internship
The internship proposals of Eddie Cho (Gracepoint Church) and Gideon Teo were approved.
The internship of Seth Nelson (Cresheim Valley) was accepted as having been completed.
Licensure
Scott Bryant's licensure was approved. Scott is working with City Line Church to do church planting in Upper Darby among immigrants.
Ordination
Steve Munz (City Line Church) was approved to be ordained as a Minister of the Gospel.
Transfer
Doug Logan was received into the presbytery as an ordained minister. Doug intends to do church planting in the Germantown/Mt. Airy area.
Change of Call
Ed Gross's change of call was approved. He will be stepping down as pastor of Pilgrim Church and will serve as a ministry partner with CityNet Ministries as Coordinator of Strategic Alliances (i.e. he is going to give support to churches and pastors particularly in the northwest section of the city).
