We hope that all Coalition members will send people to the press conference so that we can demonstrate the breadth and strength of our Coalition.

This is a critical time to announce our formation. The City is showing no signs of letting up on the extreme fast-tracking of this slots parlor at the Gallery. The City Planning Commission will be holding its first
public meeting to unveil its preliminary plans for Market East on February 24. It is important now to show that opposition to this slots parlor comes from across the city and from many sectors of our community.

The February 18 press conference also gives us a good target date for firming up some of the other organizations whom we have invited to join the Coalition.
