I know it made me feel better about all the fairytales the kids and I have been reading. For those interested in but unfamiliar with George MacDondald's fantasy books for kids Arlita Winston has done a lovely recording of three of them and a number of versions are available at CBD. The Chruch Library also has some of MacDonald's works both in book and audio form with a hope to continue rounding out the collection as budget allows!
